Waiting on the day when my thoughts are my own
When this house is my home /And planes are leaving
When you be there for me, baby
When you love me all the way
When you take my side in every little fire fight
When you hang your things and stay
I’m waiting on the day when my life on the run
Bleaches out in the sun and shows my age
I’m waiting on the day when that voice comes to say
That it’s not wrong what you did for just a kid
When you be there for me, baby
When you love me all the way
When you take my side in every little fire fight
When you hang your things and stay
I’m waiting on the day
Waiting on the day when these words are in stone
When the kids are all grown
And we go dancing
Oh, can you do it, baby?
Can you love me all the way?
Will you tie me tight in little strands of paradise?
Will you walk with me before the morning fades?
I’m waiting on the day
John Mayer At The Hotel Utah: Rocker Gives Surprise San Francisco Show….
Guess who crashed a Songwriters in the Round session at the Hotel Utah last night?
Why, none other than singer-songwriter John Mayer, cowboy hat perfectly perched atop his head, who played an acoustic set for an entire hour. It was essentially a private show, as no more than a few dozen people were on hand.
If you’re bummed to miss out, Mayer will be back in the Bay in July to dazzle the Shoreline Amphitheater. And if you can’t afford that, take a look at a taste of the intimate Hotel Utah’s show and cry softly to yourself. lol
